Enlistment
It has finally arrived…the dreaded letter…I guess I’ll just have about a month or so to chill a bit (and to think they extended my work for yet another week. Actually they wanted me to work for 2 more months or at least till the new temps come in but I refused nonetheless) After complaining because the rest got it earlier than me, it seems I’ll be the one entering earlier than the rest. My mum called them up asking why I did not receive my letter yet on the 28th and when they check, my name wasn’t on any of the list ranging from July to November. That is to say if I continue waiting, I’ll be going in after November…Two days later after the call, well, you know what happens. The place I’ll be at is the famous Tekong. My temporary home starting from 12 June. Oh well, hope I’ll be in a good vocation after BMT.
Kateikyo Hitman Reborn
Tsuna is a hapless youth with low test scores and lower self esteem. His mother hires a tutor to help Tsuna out, but it comes as a surprise to the both of them when the tutor is a baby named Reborn, claiming to be from the Mafia. Reborn informs Tsuna that he’s the next heir to the Vongola family mafia family and tries to help Tsuna reach the goal. Reborn possesses the Dying Will bullet, which kills a person and brings them back to life to fulfill the last regret they had, and even works to get Tsuna some henchmen to make him a true mafia boss-in-training.
People always tell me that you can somehow judge how an anime will turn out by viewing the first episode. This anime however, I beg to differ. The summary above is the one shown in crunchyroll and while I was reading it, I was thinking “How does a baby tutor and mafia fit together?? Wait, what the heck is a dying will bullet? It kills you and revives you?!”
Still having second thoughts about the anime, I suddenly recall that a few of my friends watching the show told me it’s excellent. Even my younger bro who is halfway through the anime admits that it is good. So I guess it wouldn’t hurt to give it a go.
First episode was kinda hilarious and not surprising enough, they introduced the main protagonist, Tsuna, in the story. As the episodes went on, more people were introduced but there’s still no action yet. After hearing so much about the fighting and stuff but there’s still no glimpse of it, I wonder if this anime will ever take a serious turn into the mafia world. It’s like having so many fillers all in a bunch at the start (I wouldn’t really call them fillers but most of them will feel they’re like one)
Furthermore, after being shot with the dying will bullet, Tsuna looks like this:
So, basically. he will fight in his underwear because his outer clothes pulverized due to the immense power. However in that mode, he is more of like a rampaging monkey set on fulfilling whatever regret he had before he was shot. You will be thinking by then if he will ever get into some serious action or be cool for once.
Apparently, he does. (Thank god!) In hyper dying will mode, he looks like this:
*hears his fangirls screaming* and believe me, he’s really cool in that mode. The anime started off not too bad, with the first fighting arc set after more than 10 episodes. Or was it 20? Lol.
Seriously speaking, you must have the patience when you watch this but the fillers here are a lot more manageable than the ones in Bleach. I mean, some episodes can really make you laugh or go (o_o)”. This anime is also way better than Naruto in a sense as it doesn’t waste a lot of time albeit the start of the anime.The first arc was kinda ok, the second arc: The Ring Conflict is ’shiok!’ Now the third arc is just starting and it looks like it’s gonna be one hell of a ride. Definitely one of the top anime in my list right now

If you’re hoping for for romance, for now it doesn’t really have it but it’s apparent that the future episodes will have them. It’s good to see how “No-Good Tsuna” is slowly becoming a much better person in a sense. Even the girl he has a crush on has begun to like him little by little. Very few calls him by that nickname now, except for Lambo who purposely does that to piss him off.
