Where you’ll never feel hungry!

Windsurfing!!

SO SHAGGED!!! Ahaha, writing this blog during the half time of the finals. Yay, Italy managed to scored and even out the odds . Well, we’ll know who will be the next champions soon. On as side note, I have been going for the windsurfing course for the past two days

It was a blast! Saturay was da first lesson and well, we spend most of the time falling into the water. Lol, so we would get up n the board, try to bring up the sail, and then go AHHHHH! Well, the water was very choppy which didnt help us beginners a lot.

Today was better! Managed to bring the sail up from the water without falling. And i also managed to sail a few metres quite a number of times. On top of dat, i did da 180 degree turn successfully. And Wei Hao, all of us beat your record of 10 seconds of surfing! (me, zi jie, sii, liz, zhe yin n steph) Malu sia, u lose to da girls (lol jkjk XD) ahaha, overall windsurfing is a very cool sport. Maybe i’ll go back there one day to try again XD Aite, back to World Cup

Bye Japan, Burning Campfire, Lucky and Luckless

NOOOOOO! THE HORROR! JAPAN LOST! Referee biased? I dunno. Players too tired? Maybe. The way they lost was totally shocking! Furthermore, Australia only manage to score all 3 goals at the last 10 mins (extra time included). I mean…wad da fish?!?! Doshite…DOSHITE?!?! Its like lady luck suddenly stopped smiling on them and turned her direction to their opponents instead. Still, they had many chances but never make full use of it.

Past few days has been cool (almost). First up, there was a campfire at Hougang Sec on Saturday. However, there was only 4 of us… So we decided to join Unicorn, along with Harris from Condor. And I can tell u the Unicorn people are the craziest batch i have ever seen…seriously. Lol, its great fun to be with them! The emcees were also good, with Ahmad being the best and funniest as usual. All in all, it would be a pretty successful campfire if not for the rain which forced us to move into the hall 2 times… Also met some of my fellow jamboree mates.

On sun, I went to this carnival held at the Police Academy. Entered a lucky draw and I won…a slow cooker.. I have a feeling I will win something but a slow cooker… I soooo wanted that printer..

Yesterday, played pangya for the first time in I dunno how long. Most memorable match is when i fought nimrehS, who did tomahawk shots like there’s no tomorrow. Bah, she’s much ahead of me so its expected she’d do dat…and win..

After dat, went to sch to study and i found out dat one should never pass a whiteboard marker to ZC and Eric. Why? maybe I’ll tell u ppl another time.

Desaru Group Camp

DESARU – A place that has the best facilities around. A place where you will get possibly the best chicken rice ever in the entire world…NOT! Ahaha, cause we are camping at the ‘ulu’ side of Desaru. Hmm, going back there brings back a lot of memories. Without further a due, I present to you the highlights of the camp:

[Bus Ride 1] This is one hell of a ride I wont forget. Since I had school, I can only go to camp on the third day, wentare there on thurs), plus a scout and all the *ahem* angelic cadets, we headed to our destination. I thought i could u know, catch some shut eye or somrthing but i was dead wrong. The cadets were talking to us non-stop (like an i-pod dat only needs to recharge their battery for a min when the battery goes flat although this isn’t really music to our ears) Anyways, they were quite entertaining and kinda interesting

[Stars] The sky was literally littered with stars during the night. I was like “WOW!” One can never see this many stars in S’pore

[Night Hike] I didnt really hike cos i’m supposed to be da ‘kidnapper’ What i remembered most about this is when i have to set off from the camp alone (with my bag…). Since my torch is relatively useless, I have to depend on the moonlight to see. The most funny thing is that it was so freaking dark that i couldn’t find the trail leading from the camp to the road. So I keep walking back and forth until I found it.

[Sunrise] Very Nice ^^

[Colours] I was part of the colours party. My job is to ‘raise’ the prep flag. We only decided who will be in and rehearsed it all the night b4 but i think we did a pretty decent job

[Breakfast] Nasi Lemak with egg, cucumber, sambal, and SIX ikan bilis…

[Games] Lol, this time, i went with another ‘village’ to play games. I paired up with Weiting and in the grp there was Fabian, Ken, Ruthran, ‘Cobra’, ‘Beckham’ and some others. Lol, the beach games were fun and to me, it was like “FINALLY! THE SEA!” cause the weather was scorching hot so cooling off in the sea was like a blessing!

[The Dreaded Storm] It started of with a simple drizzle during outdoor cooking. Then it began to rain heavily but most of us thought it’ll pass by quickly so we continued cooking (for my grp, we were still trying to maintain the fire but it was useless as it got extinguished later in the most ridiculous way). Then, the storm came and it was impossible to stay outdoors so all of us ran back to the hanger to seek refuge. Thereafter came the dreaded moment when we saw half of our tent (me, kerhan and alfred) in the air. We were totally stunned and realised that our belongings were inside so we ran to the half-flooded tent to retrieve them. We thought the situation was alright until we saw our tent almost blown away by the wind. Luckily, some of the leaders rushed there to strike down the tent before things got worse.

[Mini Campfire] The campfire was great although it could be improved a lot (The program part and some other stuff). The combination of Liz, Sherwyn and Glenn as emcees was…interesting.

[Bus Ride 2] This time, its with the scouts. They were practically high at that point in time as they kept singing (changing all the lyrics to only two words “Very Good”) and then later it was…O_O

To sum it all…”VERY GOOD”

The Ring and Windsurfing

Lets start on sat. Watch the Ring on TV and hell I couldnt sleep afterwards -_-” I mean the movie is the creepiest when the tv just turn on by itself and then showed the girl walking slowly out of it towards the victim (shivers) After the Ring, there was these show called The Sketch which is, well, made up of many small sketches. It was freaking hilarious and my younger bro couldn’t stop laughing.

After that I tried my best to sleep and woke up on Sun morn, preparing to go windsurfing. Was late for it but luckily, lessons haven’t start. We were taught the theory and stuff and before going to the practical, it rained…and rained…so we decided to postpone it so as to make full use of the time next time. After that, went to Marine Parade to eat. Lol, Darryl was learning how to use chopsticks and it was quite funny actually as we were like talking crap about how to use a chopstick. Went home after that to finish up my report.

Gangshow

Ahaha! Yesterday’s gangshow went pretty well if i say so myself. A great job to weishan and her comm for coming up with the gangshow. And also to others who help them along the way. To the scouts who help me get the items- a big thank you to ya’ll. And to those who help me with the refreshments as well. Everyone worked hard to make it a success so for now, relax a little and get a well deserved rest.

On a side note…I CAN’T BELIEVE I FORGOT THERE IS A QUIZ TMR….

VOP

ARGHHHHHHH! MY FEET ARE SOOOO DYING!  Lol, VOP was kinda cool i guess. Hafta thank Emmeline, David C. and the rest who plan and run the event. Hmm, started of sat morning with kayaking. Here, most of us meet da V1’s. Kayaking was great. Been a long time since i kayak. One of the best thing is lunch time. We ate lunch on kayaks and it was pretty interesting. Lol, other than that, we paddled to singapore river from kallang. Distance was pretty short so its not really tiring. After dat, head back to sch and did stuff and finally to the last event, overnight hike. Lol, hiking rocks. Been an even longer time since i last hike. When was it, i think in sec 3. We were seperated to two grps, with a mixture of V1’s and V2’s in each grp. The V1’s in the group i was great. They were not that confident in reading the map to look for the checkpoint at first but as time passes, they got the hang of it after Kenneth taught em at the first checkpoint. Lol, and they never once complain about tiredness and stuff. Hopefully, all 4 of em will stay. Ahaha, reach the final destination, Sentosa, at 6.00am and made it in time for sunrise. All in all, i had a great time.

Feeling sooooo shagged. Lol, maybe its cos of club crawl. Walk around non-stop XP Ahaha, anyways its over and we managed to get 217 people. Manage to hit our target of 200 so now we have to try to keep most of the juniors. Quite a number of things learnt when doing the club crawl and hopefully, next year we’ll do a better one. Lol, today is da first time the exco meeting ended early. Normally we tend to overshoot but today was different. Ahhhh! Cannot tahan. I think i go and sleep now!
